Shopping Goals: March 2016

Well, as accomplishments go, I'd chalk up last month's shopping goals as a win.  I didn't need to buy the laundry soap making supplies because I made do with what I had along with a 4 lb box of baking soda I did purchase (that laundry soap I'm using to wash my husband's, my daughter's and my clothes and bedding in as my son's skin is so bad we're sticking to the Seventh Generation for him exclusively).

The one thing I wasn't able to purchase was a second bag of water softening salt.  Every time I would go to the stores trying to get it cheaper than like 9.00, I would hit road blocks as everyone was out of the salt.  So, I just decided to wait and purchase the second bag this month instead.  So, that is the one thing that is getting transferred onto this month's list.

March usually sees things like cabbage and potatoes go on sale cheap for St. Patrick's Day, so I'm hoping to score some of that cheap this month.  I've got my mind open to good sales on corned beef, but am not counting on it at this point, so I've got sort of a "wait and see" type of outlook when it comes to that.

I am, however, running low on beef, which it isn't like I had much of it to begin with, so I'm going to be watching for good prices on that this month.   But, I'm not going to commit myself to buying any as I'm not sure what the sales will do here the next bit.

So, in the meantime here's the shopping goals for this month.

Shopping Goals:  March 2016

Amazon.com (these are already paid for with gift cards that I had applied to my account).
Disclaimer:  The following contains associate links to Amazon.  If you order through these links I get a small commission from Amazon for the sale.  Ordering through these links, however, does not cost you anything extra.  If you order through these links, thank you!
I found a new friend this last week by the name of Dawn, who got me in touch with a Cyclical Vomiting Group online (the condition my daughter suffers from).  While reading up on some of the research having to do with CVS, I found out about the above two vitamins that are supposed to not only help with CVS, but also other ailments, such as my stomach condition, so I ordered enough for my daughter and I to try.  And through Amazon, the CoQ10 vitamin ESPECIALLY is cheaper than at the store, so I was happy to find them on there.
Regular Grocery Stores :
  • Water Softening Salt
  • Cabbage (if sales are good)
  • Potatoes (if sales are good)
  • Corned Beef  (if sales are good)
  • Butter (if sales are good)
  • Beef (if sales are good)
  • Easter Candy for kids (Smarties for Easter Eggs)
  • Printer cartridges (forgot that I was out of ink until I looked about possibly printing some coupons.  Go me!)
 Bulk Stores
  • Butter (if regular stores do not have good enough sales during month)
  • Garbage Bags
And there you.  My shopping goals for this month.  Hopefully I'll be able to work it into my grocery budget without too much trouble.
