[020] Happy 28th birthday Linux!

A BIG shout out to Linux for giving the community an operating system that is secure and free to use over the years.

Around 15 years ago, I worked with a Linux company called Linspire which is also the name of their flagship operating system (OS). Linspire was like XandrOS in which their objective was to make Linux feel (operate) like a Windows OS. They were trying to bring Linux to everyone.

During those times, Linux was a very hard OS to tame. Compatibility issues, limited hardware support, application deficiency, even mouse compatibility was an issue, and the list goes on.

Fast forward to today, there are a multitude of Linux variants to choose from which also are "super" user friendly to users trying Linux for the first time.

I am personally using Ubuntu OS on my main work unit and their server brothers on my servers. I have to say that over the years, I had countless of problems trying to make my applications work, even today. But I was able to make my Ubuntu work perfectly thanks with the help of the Linux community.

Users new to Linux always have a gripe over the Linux community. But there are also a lot of Linux groups that patiently helps and guide new users to Linux. So if in case you happen to chance over the first group, try looking for other Linux groups for there will be one which you belong to.

The following link are interesting things which everyone must know about Linux.

Give Linux a try. There are tons of resources on the Internet that will help you choose which is the best fit for you and your work.

~Cheers!
